Our Astronaut Drink Will Get You to the Moon!

This Astronaut Drink Cocktail will have you feeling like you’re walking on the moon. This five ingredient drink includes three different alcohols and packs some punch as well as Caribbean flavors.

The Astronaut is made with light rum, dark rum, vodka, sprite and a dash of pineapple juice and served over ice in a rocks glass and garnished with a lime twist.

We couldn’t find anything about its history, but who ever made it came up with a tasty drink. The white and dark rums really work well together and add the Caribbean aspect of this drink.

And although there are five ingredients in this drink, it’s easy enough to make.

How to Make an Astronaut Drink Cocktail?

Simply add some ice to a rocks glass and let it sit while you prepare the cocktail. Then add the three alcohols, light rum, dark rum and the vodka to a cocktail shaker half filled with ice.

Give it a couple of good shakes and strain the concoction into the prepared rocks glass. One tip here, if it took you a minute to mix up everything, you might want to pour out any water that has collected in the bottom of the glass from melting ice before pouring in your alcohol. We don’t want a watered down drink!

Once the alcohols are added, add about four ounces of Sprite and a dash of pineapple juice, more as a coloring than strong flavor.

Then add your lime twist, or lemon if you don’t have any limes on hand, and serve.

That’s it!

Although there is a lot of alcohol in this drink, it doesn’t taste over powering. It still feels light and has a great flavor profile that is a bit like A Day at the Beach cocktail.

Here’s the recipe for your reference, save it and make this anytime. And let me know in the comments what you think of this drink and if you added any twists. I’d love to know.
