Make 100 Jell-O Shots at a Time!
If you need a LOT of jello shots at one time, our Recipe For 100 Jello Shots is perfect because once you know the recipe for 100 jello shots, it’s easy math to figure out how to add more whether you need 200 or 500 shots.
For a 200 Jell-O shot recipe just double the recipe, or for 500 shots just either make the recipe five times or multiply each ingredient by 5.
I just hope you have a huge pot and refrigerator and a lot of time to wait for the shots to set!
And since you’re making so many jello shots, why buy hundreds of cups to place them all in? Check out my article on how to make jello shots without cups!
IMPORTANT! I have listed two different tables below depending on the size of the box of jello you have. Jello comes in two standard sizes, 3oz and 6oz. Please make sure you’re looking at the correct recipe for the correct sized box of jello you have.
Also, the tables are broken down to cup size as well. Jello shot cups typically come in three standard sizes; 1 ounce, 2 ounce and 3 ounces. Be sure you are matching the correct recipe to the correct cup size and jello box size. The same goes for even if you’re using Jello shot syringes.
Tip!
Want to make your shots a little sweeter? Use 25% Schnapps or something similar (what ever flavor you want).
Want to make your shots a little tarter? Use 25% Triple Sec.
Don’t change the amount of water, just the booze! So instead of four cups vodka, use three cups and a cup of Triple Sec.
If you just want a standard simple jello shot recipe, check out that link. For this recipe, I am going to make 100 Jell-O shots using 3.9 ounce boxes of Jello, and 2 ounce jello shot cups.
Remember, to make the same recipe, but using different sized boxes of Jello or cups, just change the numbers, but follow all the same steps.

100 Jello Shots Recipe
Equipment
- Large pot to heat up water
- Measuring Cup
- Whisk
- 2 ounce Jello shot cups
- Tray for moving your cups into the refrigerator
- Vegetable cooking oil spray
- Dish rag for any "accidents" and to keep your work area clean.
Ingredients
- 6 Boxes Jell-O Choose your favorite flavor
- 6 Cups Hot Water Doesn't need to be boiling
- 6 Cups Alcohol Use Vodka for a standard shot
Instructions
- Line up your jello shot cups or containers on a cookie tray. If you don't have a tray, try using an empty pizza box or something similar.
- Spray a little vegetable cooking oil inside the cups. Just a quick spritz is enough. And don't worry, you won't taste anything.
- Bring your water to boil. If you're in a super hurry, just make the water hot enough for all of the Jell-O to dissolve.
- Either place the hot water in a mixing bowl and add the gelatin, or just add it to your pot. Either is fine. Add ONE box at a time to make sure everything dissolves correctly.
- Once everything is thoroughly dissolved, add all of your alcohol. Vodka is best as it doesn't have as much taste as other alcohols, but you can mix in whatever you'd like.
- Use a ladle to add the jello into the cups or let cool a bit and use your measuring cup.
- Now place the tray of Jello shots in your fridge, NOT in the freezer! It'll take around 4 hours to gel correctly.

How Many Jello Shots per box?
One small box of Jello ( 3 Ounce (85g) Box) makes around 16 shots that are in 1-ounce containers. This is because you’ll use 2 cups of liquid to make your shots. You can get a few more if you don’t fill them to the rim.
If using 2 ounce jello shot cups, you’ll get around 8 shots. One large box of Jell-O (6 ounce or 170g) will make 32 shots when using a 1 ounce cups, or half that number, 16 if you’re using 2 ounce cups.
