It is a pretty drink or shot (shooter) that is really sweet and heavy, but still yummy like a dessert. Just don’t drink too many of these as shots as they will make you sick!

After Five is a shooter cocktail that is composed of coffee liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, and peppermint schnapps.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz. Irish Cream
  • 0.5 oz. Rumple Minze
  • 0.5 oz. Peppermint Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Chill a shot glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before making the shot.
  2. Pour the peppermint liqueur into the shot glass until it is about 1/3 full.
  3. Hold a spoon upside down over the shot glass, slightly above the peppermint liqueur layer.
  4. Slowly pour the coffee liqueur over the back of the bar spoon and into the shot glass until it is about 2/3 full. The spoon helps to prevent the layers from mixing by breaking the fall of the liquid and dispersing it over the previous layer.
  5. Hold the spoon upside down over the shot glass, slightly above the coffee liqueur layer.
  6. Slowly pour the Irish cream liqueur over the back of the spoon and into the shot glass until it reaches the top of the glass.
  7. Serve the shot immediately while it is still chilled.
