Buffalo Zoo Drink from Buffalo Wild Wings

Being originally from New York, I thought this was something to do with Buffalo. You know, like the Buffalo Bills. But nope, it does have to do with buffaloes in one way though, it’s a drink that is served at Buffalo Wild Wings. which is a restaurant chain.

So I guess this makes my recipe a ‘copy cat’ recipe.

Now for the original recipe, there should only be 2 total ounces of alcohol in this drink. But looking through other recipes on the net, I see all kinds of variations on this drink, often in the ‘punch‘ category. Which of course is possible.

But this is the original recipe from the restaurant. So no alterations or adjustments here.

The only thing that I find peculiar is the color of this drink is almost pink. Just not what I’d expect from a restaurant like this. But it is good! So give it a try.

How to make a Buffalo Zoo Drink

Make sure you have all of the ingredients on hand as there are seven in this.

Grab a shaker and add a hand full of ice. You can make this cocktail directly in your glass if you don’t have a shaker. This should be served in a big glass like a pint glass.

Add the vodka, rum, whiskey, peach schnapps. Shake a few seconds and pour the ingredients into a pint glass. Take your two juices, the orange and pineapple juice and add equal parts of each until the glass is about ninety five percent full.

Then add a splash of grenadine on top, but don’t mix it into the cocktail.

Garnish with an orange wheel and a cherry then serve.

Tips for Making This Recipe

In order to get the same exact drink that was served in the restaurant, you need to use the alcohol brands I have listed in the recipe. That makes this a top shelf drink. Of course you can substitute any of the brands for something different or a less expensive version. But the cocktail will taste a bit different.

About the Ingredients

Since this was served at a restaurant, they were using top shelf ingredients. Something you don’t need to do. You can switch out the brands for whatever you have on hand.

As far as the juices go, try to use fresh squeezed. This drink will taste ten times better if you can use fresh juices as they are predominant in this cocktail.
