Our Yummy Chilly Willy Drink or Shot Recipe
This Chilly Willy Drink recipe will remind you of the tropics and can even be served as a shot.
The fruity combination of orange juice, pineapple juice along with the coconut in the coconut rum makes you almost feel this should be garnished with one of those little cute umbrellas. And of course, you could do that too.
This five ingredient mixed drink might take an extra minute to make, but if you love delicious fruity drinks on the more sweet side, you’re going to really enjoy this.
A bit sweet, but not overly so. And still tasty and refreshing. And seriously, these really taste good, so you can easily find you’ve had too many in a relatively short time. So be careful.

Chilly Willy Ingredients
Although I am using company names in this list, of course just use what you have or what you personally like!
- 1 ounce Midori® Melon Liqueur
- 1 ounce Malibu® Coconut Rum
- 3/4 ounce DeKuyper® Peachtree Schnapps
- 2 ounces Orange Juice
- 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
About the Ingredients
Juices: If you’re going to take the time to make one of these, why not go the extra mile and actually hand squeeze your orange and pineapple juices? It only takes a few minutes more to get enough juice for a few drinks. But the difference with just doing that is like going from an ‘okay’ drink to something really upscale.
Coconut Rum: The two coconut rums I’ve used for these are Malibu and Flor de Caña rums. They are both great for this drink and affordable.
Melon Liqueur: I’ve definitely found that Midori® is best here, although Potter’s Melon Liqueur will also work.
Peachtree Schnapps: Again, no other Peachtree Schnapps I use other than DeKuyper®.
Recipe Variations
Instead of using a Melon Liqueur, try using Amaretto instead. It has a nutty flavor that also works well in this drink.

When to Serve a Chilly Willy?
These are great when you’re spending a lazy afternoon at the beach, or even next to your pool. They’re somehow a day drink, although anytime is also a good time for these.
Or if you’re one of those poor souls that have snowy winters, you can always make a few of these, turn up the thermostat and play some Caribbean music and dream of sunnier times.
