Our Liquid Marijuana Drink Recipe is Smokeless!
Before posting this Liquid Marijuana drink recipe, I wanted to find out where the cocktail originally came from as I had one of these on a friend’s recommendation a few years back and I did actually enjoy it. But after searching all over the internet and my bartending books, I couldn’t pin it down.
In fact, it made me even more confused as there are a few different recipes floating around. So in the end, I had to try them all to see which one was the best one. And I settled on this version. Hope you like it!

And despite its name, the drink doesn’t contain any weed, although you could always add a few drops of CBD oil to your drink to get that high too!.
Liquid Marijuana Drink
The Liquid Marijuana drink is a sweet and fruity cocktail that is completely green hence the name.
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz. (22.5ml) Spiced Rum
- 3/4 oz. (22.5ml) Melon Liqueur
- 3/4 oz. (22.5ml) Coconut Rum
- 3/4 oz. (22.5ml) Blue Curaçao
- 1 oz. (30ml) Sweet & Sour
- 1 oz. ( 30ml) Pineapple Juice
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass 3/4 full with ice.
- Combine the spiced rum, melon liqueur, coconut rum, blue curaçao,
sweet and sour mix, and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. - Shake well and strain into the glass.
- Garnish with a marijuana leaf-shaped pineapple slice.

- Sweet & Sour: Rose’s is a decent choice for a brand of sweet and sour mix.
- Pineapple Juice: Dole is one of the better tasting brand’s of pineapple juice.

How to Make the Drink Step-by-Step
To make the Liquid Marijuana drink, start by filling a tall glass like a pint, hurricane or Collins glass 3/4 full with ice. Next, combine the spiced rum, melon liqueur, coconut rum, blue curaçao, sweet and sour mix, and pineapple juice in a Boston cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well and strain the mixture into the glass including all the ice. Finally, garnish the drink with a marijuana leaf-shaped pineapple slice if you’re feeling creative or simply a pineapple wedge if you’re decoration skills aren’t all that.
Captain Morgan spiced rum, Midori melon liqueur, Malibu coconut rum, Bols blue curaçao, Rose’s sweet and sour mix, and Dole pineapple juice are all recommended brands.
The spiced rum adds a warm and spicy note, while the melon liqueur and coconut rum add sweetness and tropical flavor. The blue curaçao adds a bright blue color and a hint of orange flavor, while the sweet and sour mix and pineapple juice balance out the sweetness with tartness.
