This Moonshot drink recipe is not for the faint of heart. This bold and fiery cocktail combines the richness of gin, the brininess of clam juice, and the kick of Tabasco sauce to create a unique flavor explosion that’s out of this world, hence the name as well.

At least that is my take on it, but I really don’t know where this drink originated, but it’s not all that bad for a simple three ingredient one.

The Moon Shot Drink is a bit briny with the clam juice ingredient, and sure to clear your senses with the Tabasco sauce. This is a simple 3 ingredient drink that is easy to make and can even help with hangovers!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 3 oz Clam Juice
  • 1 dash Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Fill your mixing glass with cracked ice.
  2. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of gin into the glass.
  3. Add 3 oz (90 ml) of clam juice.
  4. Finish with a dash of Tabasco sauce for that fiery kick.
  5. Stir the mixture well to ensure all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  6. Strain the Moonshot into a chilled old-fashioned glass.

Notes

No garnish is really needed, but If you want something unique, a skewer with a pickled clam.
