Our White Gatorade Shot Recipe!

My white Gatorade shot recipe is a shot inspired by the popular sports drink, Gatorade but there is no Gatorade in it, so it’s classified as a ‘Copycat’ recipe and I hope you like it.

This is my own recipe and it took me a while to tweak it enough that I think it really does taste a lot like the clear or white Gatorade. If you’re a fan of Gatorade, you’ll love my White Gatorade Shot.

I’ve also been taste testing this with a salted rim or not, but some of the people I tried it on says it’s the secret to making this really taste like Gatorade, while others didn’t like it at all. So would love some feedback on this!

This shot recipe is a refreshing and hydrating alternative to traditional cocktails. It’s perfect for a hot summer day or after a workout. The combination of vodka, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, coconut water, and club soda creates a delicious and unique flavor that you won’t find in most other cocktails.

Gatorade was created in 1965 by a team of researchers at the University of Florida to help the school’s football team stay hydrated during games. The drink quickly gained popularity and is now a staple in the sports world.

Variations of the Drink and Ingredient Substitutions

  • You can substitute the vodka for rum or tequila for a different flavor. But I found whiskey is not good here, try this link for a tasty Whiskey Gatorade beverage.
  • You can substitute the coconut water for another type of lightly flavored fruit juice, just make sure it isn’t too heavy tasting.
